We are a scion society of The Baker Street Irregulars* located in the Seattle area to serve the greater Puget Sound region of Western Washington.
We were founded on a ferry boat ride in March 1980 and have served our membership loyally since that time, meeting at least monthly, and celebrating over 40 years of continual and consistent Sherlockian-themed social and literary fun to the hundreds of folks who’ve moved through our scion over those years.
Since the pandemic began in March 2020, we have gathered virtually (using Zoom) on the 3rd Sunday of each month at Noon Pacific time to discuss Sherlockiana of all kinds. When the pandemic ends and our Library reopens, we will once again meet in person at the Queen Anne Branch of The Seattle Public Library, located at 400 West Garfield.
Our plans, however, are to continue to connect even after the pandemic using Zoom with our non-local members, of which there are many—so that all our SOB Members and guests throughout the U.S. & Canada and beyond can always get their regular monthly Sherlockian “fix” with The Sound of the Baskervilles.
Guests are always welcome to attend our Zoom or our in-person meetings. Please search the pages of this website to learn more about us, our members and our publications, or contact us for more information.
* BSI scion societies are local Sherlockian groups affiliated with the BSI International, whose own membership is by invitation only. Membership in local scions is determined by each local group.
