Read the full story here.  The Picnic will be our (nearly) annual celebration of all things Watson—the 27th “Dr. John H. Watson Picnic” at Seahurst Park in Burien\, WA. \nYour contribution of food\, sweets and beverages to this potluck event will be most appreciated! \nSeahurst Park in Burien\, WA is a gorgeous site\, nestled in a residential area\, right on the Sound. It is very centrally located: Burien is west of I‐5 from Exit 154\, which puts it midway between Seattle and Tacoma\, making it handy for those on the Eastside too and not that far from Oregon or British Columbia. \nWe’ll be at our regular site—the south shelter— with three long tables\, a BBQ grill\, and a beach just steps away. Come early as parking can be\nat a premium later in the day.

DESCRIPTION:SOB Vice President Kashena Konecki and SOB Judy Lyen have been working behind the scenes to arrange a repeat of the “International Sherlockian Summit”—a meeting of the multiple scion societies headquartered in the Pacific Northwest! \nWe hope to draw attendance from many of our north‐end Sherlockians—SOB Members from North King\, Snohomish\, Skagit & Whatcom Counties\, and\nStormy Petrels Members from British Columbia\, as well as many of our south‐end Sherlockians—SOB Members from South King\, Pierce\, Thurston\, Lewis & Clark Counties\, and Blue Carbuncles Members and Vamberry Wine Merchants Members from the Portland area!! \nBring your family & friends along!! We hope you’ll find this a ripe opportunity to gather again with Sherlockians who don’t normally get to regular meetings around Seattle. And\, what a great day it could be for a Sunday drive to view the autumnal colors of the Pacific Northwest!! \nThis event replaces our regular October meeting. There is no story to study this month. \nWe’ll have high tea from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m.\, when we’ll move to their theatre space until 3:30 p.m.\, to experience a play\, silly entertainment\, games\, prizes\, and an SOB “always‐free raffle!” \nTo view their “Tiered Tea… Menu” and tea‐flavor options\, click here. DESCRIPTION:The SOBs’ 45th Anniversary of continuous operation is March 31\, 2025! \nSo join us Sunday\, April 13 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. as we celebrate at our Anniversary Tea on at PFL David & Terri Haugen’s home in University Place\, WA. \nBring a friend…everyone is welcome! \nWe will announce the name of our very worthy 2024 “Footprints of a Gigantic Hound” winner\, and a couple of Gigantic Hound Citations will also be bestowed. \nIt’s a potluck\, so please bring finger‐food—sweets or savories—to share\, and any unusual serving pieces or utensils your food might require.  The Haugens will provide the non-alcoholic beverages. In addition\, there will be an always-free raffle. \nLook for cake and good food\, fun\, and lots of time to visit with your fellow Sherlockians! \nFurther details and driving directions to the Haugens’ home will be supplied in our April issue of Ineffable Twaddle.

DESCRIPTION:Mark your calendar now for our combined Meeting & Picnic on Sunday\, July 13. The Picnic will be our (nearly) annual celebration of all things Watson—the 28th “Dr. John H. Watson Picnic” at Seahurst Park in Burien\, WA.  No story to study – come to eat\, socialize and play Sherlockian games (no skill required). \nYour contribution of food\, sweets and beverages to this potluck event will be most appreciated! \nSeahurst Park in Burien\, WA is a gorgeous site\, nestled in a residential area\, right on the Sound. It is very centrally located: Burien is west of I‐5 from Exit 154\, which puts it midway between Seattle and Tacoma\, making it handy for those on the Eastside too and not that far from Oregon or British Columbia. \nWe’ll be at our regular site—the south shelter— with three long tables\, a BBQ grill\, and a beach just steps away. Come early as parking can be\nat a premium later in the day.
